According to Weddles Gun Shop on Facebook, that could be the case. We don’t have much to go on here, but this seems to be the first report on what may be coming at SHOT show next month from Glock.
The Glock “MBS” is the “multiple backstrap system” on the Gen4 pistols, so I don’t really know what to think about “MOS”, but I suspect they may be right about some sort of optic ready pistol ala the M&P Core models.
I can’t imagine there would be a market for a long slide 10mm optics ready pistol, but who knows. If Glock is anything, they’re unpredictable.
I’m a big 10mm fan, already have the G20. I’m hoping for 6in long slide version.

With10mm fans being velocity junkies I can certainly see the allure of a long-slide version. 6″ after market barrels for the G-20 seem to sell pretty well.

My thought would be IF this is true that I surely hope they’ve solved the Gen4 G20 FTF issues some people have been having (and that Glock knows about).
Limp wrist, that’s all it is.
Why would you expect the G40 to be a “long-slide” (6-inch barrel) model, like the G17L and G24? I’d suspect it much more likely to be a tac/prac (5.3-inch barrel) model, like the G34, G35, and G41.
The real long slide models, are cumbersome. The 41 is just right for a long semi-auto cartridge. A 10mm that shares the same dimensions as the 41 is going to be a spot on great gun and would cause me to have to spend money on a Glock.
You cant imagine a market for long slide 10mm? You need look at lone wolf then there long slides are always sold out
I tend to always look at things from a competitive shooting perspective, but I understand that some hunters like the 10mm guns.

The moment I heard of this I imagined one on my chest, over my waders, on the Kenai Peninsula. Fast on target, high velocity…Brown Bear medicine.
