14yo Shooter Cleans House at ZSA Match

On Sunday I went down to Range 37psr for the ZSA Zombiefest match, and I had the opportunity to watch this young man tear it up with his pistol.

Shooters his age are the future of the shooting sports, and they will play an integral role in the preservation of our rights in the future. If you have kids, get them out to the range and teach them to shoot! It builds discipline, and teaches responsibility.

Zombie Shooters Assoc. Zombiefest!

If you are looking for a place to shoot today (12/29) or tomorrow (12/30) you should check out the ZSA Zombiefest at Range 37psr in Bunnlevel, NC. They are running an all steel match both days. $5 per run through the stage, with all proceeds going to the Green Beret Foundation.

Pistols, pistol caliber carbines, and shotguns are all welcome, and the stage is 18 targets.

I’m going to try to make it down tomorrow to run the stage a couple times. Should be a blast!

Another monthly 3-gun match coming to central NC!

Mr. John Z, of the Zombie Shooters Association just announced on their Facebook page that they will be hosting a monthly 3-gun match at Central Carolina Gun Club in Burlington every 2nd Saturday starting soon. When I get more details, I’ll get the matches put up on the calendar.

The ZSA 3-gun matches are a hoot, and very new shooter friendly! Ya’ll make sure you check them out!

ZSA Action Pistol – 3-24-12

I can describe this match in one word: rain.

It rained, and rained, and rained, and I forgot my hat, and my glasses fogged up, and I couldn’t see.

Match itself was great. 6 stages with high round counts, lots of reactive steel, and some challenging shots.I’m a huge fan of reactive targets, especially steel, so I was very happy when I walked the stages.

Looks like I may have a small sight issue with my Glock 24, as I was consistently pulling shots to the right. I’ll have to look into that later in the week.

I’m hungry and tired, so that about all I have to say. It was raining too hard on most of the stages to get video, so we only filmed 3, and 6, so I combined both Heath and I onto the same video. Let me know what you think.

Zombie Shooters Association – Zombie Action Pistol (ZAP) – 3/24/2012

On Saturday, a few of us from Raleigh are heading up to The-Range in Oxford, NC for the Zombie Shooters Association ZAP match. These are always great matches for those who like to shoot fast, and hose targets. I cant wait! Of course I will be representing the ZSA original 555 club while I am there. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a place to shoot this coming weekend to head up, and help save humanity from zombies.

Here is a quick video with John from ZSA talking about the scoring, and how the ZSA matches are run.
